Thermodynamic
steam traps are mainly used as drip traps on steam mains and steam
supply lines. These steam traps can be used for tracing applications;
however, thermostatic steam traps are normally recommended for
this service. These steam traps are ideal for outdoor applications
that are subject to freezing and for superheated steam conditions.
Thermostatic
steam traps are designed for drip and tracing applications as well
as an air vent for heat exchanges. Thermostatic steam traps are
small-sized, lightweight and have excellent air handling capabilities.
These steam traps discharge air upon start up, allowing steam to
enter the system more quickly.
