Josh Sherman began his career as an outside salesman in April 2025 at Independent Pipe’s Windsor, CT, branch. He grew up in Westbrook, CT, and attended Westbrook High School before graduating from the University of Connecticut (UConn) with a degree in psychology and criminal justice. Prior to joining Independent Pipe, he worked as a purchaser for General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT. Before that, he held positions in outside sales and purchasing at Cable Management, a scrap metal company in Meriden, CT.
“I am excited to welcome Josh Sherman as a new employee at IPS. He is dedicated and brings new energy to the team,” said Windsor Branch Manager Rich McCormick.
Josh shared, “I like that we have more autonomy to complete our work. This approach helps keep work flowing and keeps our customers satisfied. I’d like to get on the road to expand our customer base and reach different types of customers with the new products we have access to, as well as deepen our existing customer relationships for long-term success.”
He currently resides in Gales Ferry, CT, having recently moved from Uncasville, CT. He is married to his wife Tatiana, has a stepdaughter named Ayva, and has a baby on the way.
In his free time, Josh enjoys hiking with his family and playing musical instruments such as the guitar, bass, and ukulele.
