The RIDGID RP 251 Press Tool addresses that challenge with an ergonomic inline design, forward-positioned trigger and SlimGripâ„¢ handle. Together, these features allow for easy one-handed operation while the tool’s reduced weight is designed to help reduce fatigue and improve efficiency.
The RP 251 also features an endless 360° head swivel. That means the barrel and jaw can rotate to help reach tight spaces from practically every angle.

Built for Efficient Operation

The RP 251 uses a 12V Advanced Lithium Ion battery and is rated for up to 140 presses per charge. Its listed crimp cycle time is approximately three presses per minute, or three to four seconds per press.
The tool also incorporates wireless connectivity through the free RIDGID Linkâ„¢ app. Users can access tool information such as press cycles, tool locking, service intervals and battery status through the mobile platform.

The RP 251 features a brushless motor capable of more than 60,000 press cycles and requires no scheduled maintenance. Its hydraulic ram provides 5,400 pounds of output, or 24 kN.
The tool is designed for a range of applications and is compatible with all RIDGID Compact Series jaws, rings and actuators. Depending on the appropriate jaw or ring configuration, the RP 251 can press up to 1 ¼-inch copper and stainless steel, up to 1 ½-inch PEX and multilayer tubing, and up to 1-inch carbon steel. The listed capacity also includes copper refrigeration applications up to 1 ⅜ inches.
